Legal
Terms of Use
These terms govern use of the Naguru Teenage Centre website. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
1. About this website
The site provides information about NTC, its programmes, impact, opportunities, events, resources and ways to contact or support the organisation. Some functions may be provided by approved third-party services.
2. Information is not individual medical or legal advice
Health, safeguarding, policy and programme information on this site is general. It does not replace assessment or advice from a qualified health professional, counsellor, lawyer or protection service who understands your situation. The website and general forms are not emergency services.
3. Accuracy and updates
NTC aims to keep information accurate and current, but programmes, opportunities, dates, contacts and external resources can change. Check the page's publication date and confirm time-sensitive information before acting on it.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful personal, educational, professional and organisational purposes. You must not attempt to damage, disrupt, bypass or gain unauthorised access to the site or its data; submit false, abusive, discriminatory, harmful or unlawful content; impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with NTC; collect personal data from the site for unauthorised marketing or profiling; upload malicious code or files; or use NTC's name, logo, content or relationships to solicit money or imply endorsement without permission.
5. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, NTC or its licensors own the website content, design, logos, photographs, videos, publications and other materials. You may quote or share reasonable portions for non-commercial information or education with clear attribution and without changing the meaning. Written permission may be required for commercial use, translation, adaptation, large-scale reproduction or use of logos and photographs.
6. User submissions
When you submit an enquiry, application, story, image, feedback or other material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting a story or image does not guarantee publication. NTC may decline or remove material to protect safety, privacy, dignity, quality or legal rights.
7. Children and young people
Young users should receive clear, age-appropriate information. Where a website action requires adult consent or involves significant personal, financial or legal consequences, NTC may require involvement of a parent, guardian or other authorised adult, subject to applicable law and safeguarding considerations.
8. Opportunities, applications and donations
A website notice does not guarantee selection for a job, tender, programme, event or volunteer role. Each process is governed by its published criteria. Donations must use the verified payment channel on the official NTC website. NTC does not authorise staff personal accounts for public donations or recruitment payments.
9. External links
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience or reference. NTC does not control their content, security, availability or privacy practices and is not responsible for them merely because a link is provided.
10. Availability and liability
NTC may update, suspend or withdraw site content or functions. To the extent permitted by law, NTC is not responsible for loss caused by reliance on outdated information, third-party services, internet disruption or unauthorised use beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Privacy and safeguarding
Use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Safeguarding concerns should be reported through the dedicated Safeguarding page rather than a public comment or general form.
12. Changes to the terms
NTC may update these terms when the website, services or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be posted with its effective date.
13. Governing framework and contact
These terms are intended to operate under the laws of Uganda. Questions about these terms may be sent to info@ntc.ug.
