Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most.

What is Naguru Teenage Centre?
NTC is a Ugandan non-governmental organisation advancing the health, rights and livelihoods of adolescents and young people through youth-friendly services, stronger systems, advocacy, research, community engagement and economic empowerment.
Who does NTC work with?
NTC primarily works with adolescents and young people aged 10-24. Programmes may focus on specific groups, including out-of-school adolescents, refugees and host communities, young people with disabilities, teenage mothers and fathers, learners and other underserved populations. NTC also works with parents, health workers, teachers, community leaders and public institutions.
Where is NTC located?
NTC's office is at Plot 2151, off Kireka-Namugongo Road, Kampala, with a postal address of P.O. Box 27572, Kampala. Its youth-friendly service model is based at Kiswa Health Centre III.
What services can young people access?
NTC programmes support access to age-appropriate health information, counselling, referrals and youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services. Available services and schedules vary by location and programme — call our toll-free line 0800 311222 or contact us to confirm what is currently available.
Are conversations confidential?
NTC aims to provide respectful and confidential support. Confidentiality may be limited where safeguarding action is required, where there is a serious risk of harm or where disclosure is required by law.
Do I have to pay for services?
Many NTC information, counselling and outreach services are free or heavily subsidised. Some facility-based services may have separately approved charges. Contact us to confirm what applies to a specific service.
Can NTC provide emergency medical help?
The website and general contact channels are not emergency services. For urgent medical needs, seek immediate help from the nearest qualified health facility. NTC can provide information on programme referral pathways during operating hours.
How can my school, health facility or district work with NTC?
Use the Contact Us or Partner With Us form and describe the population, location, challenge and proposed collaboration. The relevant programme team will review whether the request aligns with NTC's mandate and current resources.
How can I invite NTC to an event or training?
Submit the date, location, audience, purpose, requested contribution and contact person through the Contact Us form, with enough lead time for review and scheduling.
Does NTC fund other organisations?
NTC may work with partners or issue opportunities under particular programmes, but it does not maintain a general open-grant facility unless announced. Check Tenders & Opportunities for current calls.
How can I volunteer?
Visit our Volunteer page for current roles, eligibility and the application process. Because NTC works with children and young people, selected volunteers may undergo safeguarding checks, orientation and supervision.
Where are jobs and internships advertised?
All official vacancies are posted on the Careers page. NTC does not charge applicants at any stage of recruitment.
How can I donate?
Visit our Donate page and use only the verified payment method published there. Do not send funds to personal accounts or contacts shared outside NTC's official channels.
How do I make a complaint or give feedback?
Use the Complaints & Feedback page, email us, call our toll-free line or submit a form. You may request confidentiality — provide enough information for a fair review, but avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in an unsecured form.
How do I report a safeguarding concern?
Use the dedicated channel shown on our Safeguarding page. If immediate safety or medical attention is required, contact an appropriate local emergency or protection service first. NTC treats reports seriously and shares information only on a need-to-know basis.
Where can I find NTC reports and learning resources?
Visit Publications & Resources for reports, briefs, policy materials, factsheets and approved downloads.
