Health workers and peer educators in Adjumani district are calling for increased condom use among young people in rural communities, citing persistent challenges that hinder efforts to prevent sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies.

Emmanuel, a 25-year-old peer educator at Pagirinya I Health Centre II, said condoms remain one of the most effective tools for safeguarding sexual and reproductive health. “Condoms help young people protect their health and plan their future,” he said. “They prevent unintended pregnancies and protect against infections like HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis.”
