Today, we held a follow-up meeting in Kitgum Matidi Town Council, bringing together key community stakeholders and young people to review progress made on issues previously raised during youth consultative forums.

During the session, the In-Charge of Kitgum Matidi Health Centre III shared encouraging updates on the facility’s achievements, particularly in addressing concerns about inadequate information on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). The facility has made notable strides in expanding health education outreach, strengthening youth-friendly services, and promoting open communication between healthcare providers and young people.

These improvements reflect the collective effort to ensure that young people not only have access to SRHR services but also understand their rights and available options. Open dialogue and continued collaboration between health facilities, local leaders, and youth groups remain vital in sustaining this progress.

The follow-up meeting served as both an accountability platform and a celebration of the positive steps taken so far.

A big thank-you to all participants for their commitment to empowering young people through accurate SRHR information and inclusive community engagement.
