Yesterday was a truly inspiring day as I joined the ongoing HPV outreach activities at Buhemba Primary School and Mubiriki Primary School in Namayingo District. The atmosphere was vibrant , full of energy, curiosity, and laughter as students gathered to learn more about their health.
Our main focus was on adolescent boys, who received Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) vaccines and Albendazole tablets to help protect them from infections and improve their overall well-being. But what made the day even more impactful was the health education sessions that followed. We talked about personal hygiene, disease prevention, and why regular medical check-ups are so important, especially at a young age.
What touched me most was how eager the students were to learn. They asked thoughtful questions, shared their experiences, and listened with genuine interest. It was a powerful reminder that when young people are given the right information and care, they become champions of their own health.
Every outreach like this brings us one step closer to a healthier, more informed generation.
Let’s keep spreading awareness, one school and one smile at a time.
