NTC is committed to empowering Uganda’s young people through dynamic, region-responsive programs that reflect the unique realities of communities across the country. From Busoga and Sebei to Karamoja, Tororo, Acholi, West Nile, Buganda, and Toro, we collaborate directly with youth to deliver impactful initiatives in skills development, economic empowerment, health, and leadership.

Strengthening The HIV/AIDS Response in Central Uganda (STAR-C) Project- The Gilead Sciences, Inc. supported project aimed at reducing HIV incidence amongst the fisher folk, female sex workers and PLHIV in the 2 central region districts of Mukono and Buikwe that have a high proportion of key populations.

The ADA Project- With funding from the UNFPA, NTC implemented the delivering of an integrated package of rights to achieve universal coverage in Karamoja and northern Uganda. NTC ran mass media engagements to create awareness of GBV and SRHR services and increase access to justice.

Tackle Africa: Tackle Africa supported NTC to creating a platform for Young People Living with HIV (YPLHIV) where they could share experiences and advocate for total commitment to end AIDS including respect for the rights of young people living with HIV and AIDs. The project also focused on fostering peer psychosocial support among YPLHIV through interactive group therapy and interpersonal approaches and contributing to the mental health and wellbeing of YPLHIV, and the reduction of self-stigma through interactive football education sessions.

Provision of adolescent SRHR services to the communities Rakaia and Lwengo -The Cotton on Foundation (COF funded project focused on strengthening community structures/systems (Teachers, health workers, caregivers, VHTs) capacity to respond to the ASRH needs of Adolescents and young people.

Empowering Young People on their SRHR- The SIDA-funded project focused on empowering young people for good health and well-being.
