Strengthening Adolescents and Youth (SAY) Empowerment and Rights project

Imagine a world where every young person has the knowledge, support, and safe space to make informed decisions about their health, body, and future. This vision is at the heart of the Strengthening Adolescents and Youth (SAY) Empowerment and Rights Project, a transformative four-year initiative that is changing lives across Northern Uganda.

Implemented by the Naguru Teenage Centre (NTC) with crucial funding from the Royal Danish Embassy through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the SAY Project is a beacon of hope. Running from January 2024 to December 2027, its focus is on the districts of Adjumani, Moyo, Obongi, Kitgum, and Lamwo—areas encompassing both refugee settlements and host communities in the West Nile and Acholi sub-regions.

The project directly answers the urgent call to address the growing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) needs of adolescents and young people aged 10–24 years. It is strategically aligned with the Danish Country Strategic Framework for Uganda, ensuring our efforts contribute to broader, sustainable national goals.
