The 06/11/25, the NTC team was in Metu and Laropi Sub-counties in Moyo District, continuing our mission to strengthen social accountability and improve access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) services for young people.
The follow-up meetings brought together a diverse group of community stakeholders, parents, and youth representatives, creating a safe and open space to assess the progress made on earlier commitments by duty bearers. These discussions served as a bridge between young people and community leaders, ensuring that the concerns raised in previous sessions were not only heard but also acted upon.
Key outcomes from the meetings highlighted improvements in youth engagement, community sensitization, and health facility responsiveness to young people’s needs. However, participants also identified areas that still require joint effort , including the need for sustained awareness campaigns and stronger coordination between health facilities and community structures.
By fostering open dialogue and shared accountability, these engagements reaffirm NTC’s commitment to building inclusive, youth-centered systems that empower young people to access the care, information, and support they need to thrive.
