The Naguru Teenage Centre (NTC) team is currently holding a vibrant flash mob sensitization activity in Block 9, Palabek Refugee Settlement, Lamwo District. The event aims to raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health (SRH), HIV prevention, gender-based violence (GBV), and menstrual hygiene management among adolescents and young people.
Through music, dance, and drama, the flash mob delivers key health messages in an engaging and relatable way, encouraging open discussions and breaking the stigma surrounding SRHR topics. The activity has drawn a large turnout of community members who are actively participating and learning from the interactive sessions.
NTC’s peer educators and community health workers are also on site, offering information materials, counseling, and service referrals to those seeking further guidance. This initiative is part of NTC’s broader partnership with UNICEF, UNFPA, and the Ministry of Health to strengthen adolescent-friendly services in refugee and host communities.
By combining entertainment with education, NTC continues to empower young people with knowledge, promote positive health behaviors, and foster a supportive environment where every adolescent can thrive.
