To increase understanding, access to, and utilization of quality, friendly, and responsive SRH services and rights among the Young People.
To promote access to quality, friendly, responsive sexual and Reproductive Health Services, rights and information for adolescents and young people.
Founded in 1994 as a pioneering adolescent health clinic at Naguru Health Centre by a Swedish and Ugandan gynecologist with UNICEF support, the Naguru Teenage Information and Health Centre (NTIHC) has grown from a local initiative into a fully registered NGO. For over 25 years, we have been a leader in providing youth-friendly Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) services and information to young people aged 10-24 in Uganda. Based at Kiswa Health Center III, our proven model not only delivers essential health services but also shapes national policy, advocacy, and programming for adolescent health.
Young people are empowered in their sexual reproductive health and rights.
At NTIHC, our work is guided by a set of fundamental principles that shape every decision we make and every service we provide. These core values are not just words on a page—they are the foundation of our commitment to the communities we serve and the standard by which we measure our success. We believe that meaningful change in sexual and reproductive health comes from staying true to what matters most: respecting human rights, using resources wisely, championing equality, acting with integrity, and working together as one team. These values reflect who we are as an organization and the future we are working to build. As you explore what drives us, you'll see how each value interconnects to create an organization that is principled, effective, and deeply committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
We implement sexual and reproductive health rights services aligned with the global standards for the respect, protection, and fulfilment of human rights.
We promote efficient and effective use of resources, and pursue value for money in all our undertakings.
