At just 25, Mary from Nabwigulu felt her dreams slipping out of reach. After performing poorly in her exams, she hid her results fearing judgment from her family and community. In the confusion and pressure that followed, she entered a brief marriage, drifted into unhealthy peer circles, and watched her self-esteem crumble. Her hopes for a brighter future grew dimmer each day.
The #EYEUniversal project became a turning point. Through guidance, mentorship, and youth-friendly SRHR services, Mary rediscovered her confidence, reclaimed her sense of purpose, and stepped into leadership with renewed strength.
Today, she stands proudly as a champion for change ,a testament to what is possible when young women are empowered, supported, and believed in.
